what programe

I no you have heard all this b4 , but what is the best programe to use to reduce pic sizes and re format them , mine come out as jpeg at the moment and wont be accepted .

ok ive managed to get a pic in my gallery but cant post it on a link
says it is the wrong format , why can i put it in my gallery and not on the forum ?

Download a copy of IrfanView for resizing. I find that to post a picture here about 700 pixels wide is as wide as you want to go. This way the viewer doesn't have to scroll across to see the entire picture.

As far as formats? jpegs will work here. Make sure you have typed the correct extention. Sometimes (most times) jpegs have a .jpg extention. You need to type everything exact.

Make sure you have your vB capability code ON, as well as your HTML code.

Ok, figured it out, here is what you need to do.

[ img] (without the space between [ and i )

Then right after that the URL
http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/...Small___3_.JPG

then [ /img] without the space between the [ and /

ram it all together and you have your picture.

For formatting pics, I use GIMP. It works for me and it's free. Just google gimp and download the version you need for your operating system.
