Build up on heater ok?
I have a Won Brothers Titanium heater in my sump and have noticed that the heating tube is completely coverd in a crusty build up of some sort. It looks like maybe it is just calcium. Is this ok? Does anyone take their heaters out to clean them off? Thanks.

It will decrease the heat transfer from the heater which can't be good for it. I take my heaters out and soak them in vinegar about once or twice a year.

Yea, calcium. I have one heater in the sump section where the kalk goes in and that heater needs a clean once a month.
