Ive seen some korans in reefs before. Call them and tell them you want to take him back. They should give you store credit. Let this be a lesson, read about the fish before you purchase them.

Al Angels are prone to nip and pick at corals.
I would bring it back, They cant not take it back, they gave you bad advice and took your money to make a sale.
I would tell them that and demand your money back.

I'd return him now while you have the chance. They need large aquariums as they grow to 16" + as adults.

ok called the lfs and the guy says .Thats my nephew from out of town that was watching the shop while he ran errands and has no paperwork on the sale but does notice the fish missing. So I asked him if i can return it for a credit or another fish and he says no..and My nephew probably stole from me anyway....So now I have to go to another pet store and buy a Fish only set up for one fish!!!!!
Or deal with my situation...right...I knew the deal was tooo Good to be true!!!

So please instead of tearing me up on this one can I get some help. Someone in a earlier post stated that they have seen korans in reef tanks...mines a 70 gal....Again im kinda stuck and beating me to death does not help my stress level. Thank you in advance...Shane

No fish do not grow only to their environment. Their growth is stunted and their life span is diminished by keeping them in tanks too small.

No thats a myth. A fish will grow as long as its eating. It isn't the size of the tank that controls the growth of the fish. It doesn't run into the glass and some gene triggers its growth to turn off. What will happen is that as a fish gets bigger it eats more and produces more waste. The nitrate from the food and the waste will stunt the growth of the fish. So basically, its the polution of the water that slows the fishes growth. As long as you keep the water clean and the fish well fed it will grow.

I repeat! Just kidding, I repeated myself enough in that last paragraph.

Mike

Hey, maybe you'll get lucky and the fish won't mess with your corals. I think they eat mostly sponges in the wild. Get some good frozen angelfish food with sponge in it and see what happens.

You pay your money, you take your chances.

You can either take the fish to another LFS and try to trade it in for store credit, or I say go with what MCary said. I would try to keep it for a month or two at least, until the LFS owner forgets about you, then take him a beautiful fish and try to trade it in.

Ok, this is a little off topic, but is that a flower pot coral in your tank (the first pic you posted). How long have you had it? I fell for the lfs talk and got one awhile back, of course it died. If the same lfs sold you that, and told you it was an easy coral to grow, I would find another store to spend your money at.
