Return Plumbing from Sump

I am planning on plumbing my 90g tank with 1" PVC but the return bulkhead in my tank is only 3/4". Is it ok to run 3/4" for the return even though all the other plumbing is 1"??

I ran 3/4 for my return and have no problems, using a mag 9.5. I put a T on the return line also to drain some of the return back to the intake of the sump, as the mag 9.5 was to powerful for my single overflow in the aga 90g megaflow tank.

Thats a good idea. I will run 3/4" from my return pump (Mag 7) and T it back to the return area with a ball valve so I can control the flow being returned.

yep, same thing I did, I put the ball valve on the line going back into the sump.
