Question Moving

Okay, bare with me. I plan on moving my 75g reef on Sat. Any suggestions on how I should move everything with the least amount of stress to my tank inhabitits?
I've had it about a year with pretty good success. I did lose some fish when my second heater broke and my husband spiked the heat on the other one.
But now I have a Sailfin Tang, a clown fish, a Hippo Tang, a Scooter blenny, and a Rock (Lawn Mover) blenny. I have several Turbo snails, a hermit crab, a green crab, and some other snails I'm not sure what they are anymore. I have live rock, though I'm not sure how much, red and green mushrooms, and Zoanids. I also have about 1 in of crushed coral.
I've been running a Cascade 1000 external filter without the carbon and an additional power head. I also have the Coralife Turbo Twist 3x 9w UV sterilizer. I run 2 Coralife's 6700K 65w for 8 hours and 2 Actinic 65w for 9 hours.
I do have Aiptasia that I've tried lemon juice (didn't work at all) and Reef kalwasser (suggested by my LFS). However, I clogged my needle because I didn't/don't know what the ratio should be of water to calcium hydroxide and now it looks like I have calcium deposits on my Zoanids. Anything I can do to fix this?
I had a problem with hair algae but I took out my fake corals and decorations and that seemed to cure it.
I've always had a problem with the brown algae on my glass, and on the top of my water though my nitrates stay between 10-15 and my phosphates are minimal. I do a 20g water change every two weeks, but with the birth of my second son, its been 3 weeks
Anyway, I don't have a protein skimmer and was interested in getting one. However, I have no idea where to start. Also, I've always wanted a refugium and I see some are sold with protein skimmers. Is this a good deal? What's the difference between a wet/dry filter and a reef refugium.
With my move, I wanted to replace my crushed coral with a combo of live/non living sand. Is this a good idea? How much should I get? How long should I wait to get the sump and protein skimmer?
Also, I can't get my heater/thermometer/power head to suction on my aquarium anymore. Any suggestions?
I have a lot of questions that have plaguing me for awhile and I need help.

Also, should I put my carbon back in the filter?
