Salt Mix Question

Why is it good to arriate your salt mix to the right carbon dixode/oxgen levels? How does that affect your salt mix?

It equilibrates the pH with the air. Salt is generally really caustic when it is initially mixed. Aerating it lowers the pH to about 8.3 in most cases.
