Has anyone ever used Maracyn (erythromycin) for Freshwater to erradicate cyano?
The girl in the LFS was out of chemi-clean. She said I could use the freshwater maracyn (she said it was erythromycin) to get rid of the cyanobacteria. Have any of you used it? What would be the proper amount for 50 gallons total volume?

There is a huge (20 page) thread about the pros and cons. I can't figure out how to give you a link to it, but search the Reef Discussion forum and you're bound to find it. It's hit/reply count is high.
