CPR overflow

Just got a CPR overflow box for the 29 gallon I am setting up. I had a DIY made from PVC, but it did not flow enough. I don't know what to do with the outlet going to my sump. It appears to be threaded for a standard fitting, but none of them fit. I took the threaded part to LOWES and it was too big for a 1" fitting and too small for a 1.25" fitting. Does anyong know how to hook up the drain?

The bulkhead is made for a sch 40 1" PVC pipe. Ignore the threads. The pipe itself will slip into it.

Hey I just hooked up mine and struggled with the same thing. Actually you just glue a 1" or 3/4" (I don't know which model you bought) pipe directly inside the threaded bulk head. The threaded outside diameter is just for the bulk head nut. I don't know what material the bulk head fitting was made from so I made sure I used PVC, ABS, CPVC Glue. You can get it at Home Depot.

WOW Bosworth, I can't believe I missed that. I guess I had a hang up for the threads on the outside. 3/4" PVC is an exact fit on the ID of the bulkhead. I am going to glue it tonight. THANK YOU!

I guess I was not able to see the reef thru the corals??

fareforce, thanks to you as well. I just glued the PVC on the bulk head. I wish I would have posted on Friday!
