How many fish in this tank?

20g
35-40lbs live rock
Fluval 404
Modded Seaclone Skimmer 100
2 in sand bed
Decent amount of macro
----------------------------------------

I curently have a red scooter. i wanted to add 2 firefish and 2 clowns but that sounds like it might be too much. I did have my scooter and 2 3 strip damsels and the tank was fine, But i removed them.

I have a decent amount of inverts as well, shrimp. hermits, urchin, snails.

Since im over filtering the hell out of the tank, does anyone think i can get away with that many fish.

That will be a red scooter, 2 fire fish (small) and i want 2 very small clowns as well.

It could work. Since those fish don't add to the bio-load much. Is your 20 gallon tank the 20long or the 20high?

You should be ok. I had three 1'' chromis and a tomato clownfish in my 20High and they were ok.

If you do intend to put 5+ fish in a 20h make sure they are all peaceful fish because on wrong fish can wreak havoc in that tank... sounds like you are on the right track now though... Good Luck!

Also be aware that firefish are notoriusly known for jumping, so you may want to be prepared for that as well.
