Second suction in an overflow box
I have a Hurricane Filter overflow box (single U-tube - 600 gpm) I want to add a closed loop using a Mag 9.5. Becuase of the tank configuration, the easiest place to add the suction line is in the existing overflow box in the tank.
Does anyone know if the toothed overflow box will have a problem keeping up with that? I'm thinking that it should be relatively static but wanted to see if anyone's ever done anything of the sort. |

It probably depends on the flow you are currently running and how much the CL will add... I imagine if you pull too much flow into the overflow you will possibly pull air into your closed loop and just cause bubble problems...
