copper in a QT tank

So............................One of my fish got ich and I threw him in the QT tank and dosed it with a copper based liquid. Within a few days the ich was gone, and within the week, he was back in the main tank. My question is, is the water in my QT tank pretty much useless? I used to use that QT to frag corals and need to do so again.

QT tank is 10 gallon with HOB filter.

Well the water is definately no good, and I wouldnt really trust the silicone or equipment. Depending on how much copper you used and for how long it could have soaked in.
