Vho light height?

How high off of the water should the Vho flourescent lighting be placed? I have an Acrylic tank and 4- 6700k and 2 blue lamps that are 33" long. They put out a lot of heat when they run for a while. I will be installing fans to blow across the water between it and the light's. The lights will be suspended off a stainless steele chain. I have 13" of clearance to the top of the cover. I was hoping to have some soft corals in the tank at some time in the future and may need to upgrade the lights to the 10000k ones.
