Thumbs up Joe's Juice Recommendation

I bought a 20 ml (.68 oz.) bottle of Joe's Juice at my LFS for $5 to treat the 75+ majano anemones (some w/a diameter of 2+ inches) in my 60 gallon, and it worked spectacularly! I was skeptical about it, especially not knowing what the ingredients are, but this product is amazing. The first treatment got rid of all but about 5 or 6 in about 45 minutes and the second treatment a day later took care of the stragglers. I can't believe my eyes now when I look at my tank. Everyting in my tank (except majanos) has remained unaffected, and water parameters are unchanged. I highly recommend this product to anyone with pest anemone problems. P.S. I wanted to add this to the thread of best purchases for reef tank under $20, but can't locate it!

I've used it too, even on one in a bunch of zoo's.
But, keep an eye out in the next few weeks - many of them may have survived & will regrow - even tho you can't see them

Paintbug-

The benefits of being married to a pet supplies sales rep; he got a deal from one of his fish store customers! Wink, wink!

Don't get to excited. It looks good for about 3-4 days, then they appear looking healthy as can be. I have hit my aiptasia 4-5 times per the instructions and the little buggers show up within 3-5 days unaffected, heck most of the time there are even more. I have been most dissapointed by the product.

Thanks for the heads-up, slo, but I treated a week ago and watched most of them completely dissolve. I'll keep my eyes on 'em, but so far, no re-appearance.

Go to Garf.org for the recipe and really save some $. It really does work well when used as directed.

Yeah, JJ worked great for me too!

I found 3 very tiny ones today all in one spot. So, I pulled out JJ and hopefully got them. But, I had a ricodea right beside it. It got some JJ on it and it was not happy. It looks pretty rought right now. I am hoping it will pull through.

Wish it worked that way for me...frustrating to say the least. I am thinking of feeding the aiptasia before injecting, maybe with them in the midst of taking in food they will be unable to reatract and some of the Joes juice will actually get into their guts and do the trick. I will also be trying a kalk paste to see if that works any better.

I used joe;s juice on about 4 aiptasia about 2 months ago, they all died in about a minute and have never come back. GREAT PRODUCT, much better than any homemade suggestion, worth the small price

Too many people think Joe's Juice is a one time deal. You need to treat your tank atleast atleast once every 2 weeks. Sit there and any aiptasia you see, kill it. Joe's Juice has worked great for me.

The less aips in your tank, the longer it takes for them to reproduce, so just keep killing em everytime you run maintanence on your tank and that should help keep there numbers down. Unfortunately, once you've got em, I don't think they ever truly go away as you will have some living in areas you just can't get to.
