help me get rid of xenias

Is there any magic trick to keeping xenias from growing back on your rock, other than scraping them off everytime they grow back? They grow back in a few days every time I scrape them off.

I am trying to keep them from taking over valuable real estate.

Just make sure you get it all off. I was able to Peel it off the rocks and it left no little pieces to grow back.
