Elmer the Scribbled Wabbit has worn out his welcome---he's done a magnificent job on the algae, but while I was gone on vacation, he developed bad habits. I even left him several dollars worth of caulerpa, but he took to terrorizing my lps, the nanofishes, and my aiptasia-control squad, the shrimp. I've also notice some conspicuous absences among my margarita snails, and fear what I may find when I get back to the back of my cave (corner tank).
I've ordered a fish trap from Foster & Smith. I'm not totally averse to using a hook and line, but I'm willing to give old Elmer the baited paradise and a gentle trip to the lfs if he'll just oblige by being greedy for the nice caulerpa I have for him. He's a beautiful speciman, but his manners are atrocious. I've tried the mirror, the baited net, and I've bought gloves that will cover leather gloves, against his fins, if I have to move the cave-top rock, which I don't want to do. Stay tuned. I'll let you know how this goes.
