New gobys & sand storm!
Just bought a couple new golden head goby's. These things are spitting sand like it was chewing tobaco. The whole tank is cloudy because of the sand they are stirring up.
Do gobys ever give it a break? Or will these guys be doing this 24/7? I do have to say that my sand has never looked so great! It is bright while again! I might have to get rid of these guys, if my tank is going to look like a sand storm all the time. Might just get 2 sand sifting stars or something. Are all gobys like this?? --Daniel |

No, not all gobies, but some are more energetic than others. Either you had no detritus and they're forced to sift a lot, or there's way much and they're pigging out. Most gobies will eat other things. Try some sinking pellets and see if you can't stuff their little faces and calm them down. Remember that fish you buy may have not had anything to eat for two weeks, due to shipping prep, shipping, and settling in. Give them a little time to calm down.
