heater recommendations?
well right now, im using a won brothers heater and im looking for something similar, titanium, not glass, this one also had the digital temp gauge on it, the reason for this is i checked the temp of the tank today (on the heater gauge) and it said 94, so in a panic i looked for my back thermo and of course wasnt around but the water felt normal and no more than normal evap, as this same heater cooked my tank over a weekend, whole other story, i paniced and went to the store, all is well 79 degrees, is the temp guage on these won brothers known for going bad?
thanks

I have heard some bad things about them. I have been looking to buy a Titanium also, but it won't be a Won Brothers.
Good Luck! |

I would keep the Won brothers and cut the temp portion off and then hook the heater portion to a good controller. This way the controller will control the heater not the cheesy temp gauge that comes with it. It's what I did for the 2 heaters I have in my tank. Both were Won Brothers 350 watt. Now the heaters go full on until the controller tells them to turn off.
I bought one from this web site. http://jehmco.com/PRODUCTS_/HARDWARE...ontroller.html Regards, Pat
