How to catch Saron Shrimp

I have a saron shrimp, bought a few years ago without realizing that this species likes to eat coral polyps. The shrimp has been peaceful for all this time until I noticed a few damaged polyps here and there and eventually caught this guy in the act.

Any advice on how to catch this nocturnal shrimp? He seems to come out about 30 mins after the lights go out, but he seems to have good eyes and can see me coming in the dark unless I am really sneaky. He does not seem interested in the normal food so I don't think I can trap him like other shrimp. Any advice would be appreciated.

Try and use food to bait him. You could use a cup and pt food into it and when it goes inside it just trap him with a net.

any idea what a coral loving shrimp might be attracted to? I'd be surprised if he was interested in regular food.

I hate to tell you this, but, IME, it's one of the most difficult creatures to catch in an aquarium. I literally had to take my aquarium apart down to the last rock before I caught this shrimp. They are blindingly fast. I'd almost suggest buying an octopus to eat the shrimp and then removing the octo.

Thanks (or shall I say no thanks) for the info. Oh well. i am gonna try the old net method before I go that route. But if I have to I will take out every rock - better than watching every coral slowly get eaten.
