What do you think looks better?

I'm building an aquarium into my living room wall. What do you think looks better. The aquarium flush with the wall, trim or no trim? or recessed back the width of the wall (4 inches). Or?

Mike

I like the flush look - as you can add some really nice trim around to both accent the aquarium and really make it look like a piece of furniture.

Personally I like the flush with the wall and trimmed look... But I have seen a few recessed that looked good because they gave it a finished look...

Flush with trim.

Makes it look like a moving picture.

Yeah I like that look too. But pinnisula won't work here cause I need to fit this:

into here:

I broke through the back wall into a closet on the other side. The room is 4 ft 9 inches wide and 5 ft 1 in long. The tank is 2'x4'x 31"high. 150 gallons. Tonight I'm wiring and plumbing. Then it will be framed in, this is where I need to decide placement. Then the flooring which will be waterproof with a floor drain. Something like a walk in shower. Painting and finally tank and equipment will be placed.
