Premiere R/O unit?

hi guys. im tracking an R/O unit on ebay, its going CHEAP right now, it looks to be a 6 stage

the previous owner used it under the sink, but it sounds like its intent is drinking water. Im curious, does it matter? i know some are said to be for reef tanks, but does it matter?

thanks in advance!

You want an RO-DI unit, IMO, and it should have a good 75gpd membrane, or slower. The 100 gpd membranes don't do as good a cleaning job.

Make sure it has DI for your tank.
Drinking systems do not have DI as it makes the water taste weird.

I just got a unit from http://www.melevsreef.com RO/DI for around $150. I am EXTREMELY happy with it. I was replacing a lower flow unit that I had. I'm telling you this new unit is made out of quality parts and has all the necessary fittings/hoses for plug and play use. It even has a mounting bracket attached to the filters. Two screws in a wall and it was hung. In less than 10 minutes I had it hooked up and pumpin. Before I purchased it I looked at several units on ebay and to say the least they looked 'whimpy' compared to the one on melevsreef.com

it really depends on the unit... without details of the setup, hard to advise you if that unit is any good...not all units are created equal.... of course if you post a link then you might get outbid...
