What are the advantags of PVC vs Flexible pipe
I plan on setting up a very simple sump and I am wondering what are the advantages of PVC vs Flexible vinyl tubing ? I want to plumb a 29G to a very simple 15G sump with 3 baffles for bubble control.
Thanks in advance RFC |

Flexible you can make gradual bends. It alos tends to help with vibration since it can move a little.
It is slightly harder to glue in some cases depending upon bend Other then that they are the same I used a mixture of the 2 Flex pipe is MUCH more Expensive |

The only negative of vinyl is that you must use clamps to hold everything together. The only really good clamps are the stainless hose clamps, but even those will corrode eventually.
With PVC if you clean and glue it correctly it will NEVER fail! At least not in our lifetime.
