Real Ocean Water???
so i have my 55 gallon tank filled with 35 gallons of fresh RO/DI water so far, but the unit is SOOOO slow at making water....and seems to waste quite a bit....so can i fill the last 20 gallons with "CATALINA-Real Ocean Water" from Petco? I will use the RODI unit for all water changes, but for the initial re-filling of the tank ( i just drained it since my water quality was terrible), it seems far too slow. Thanks

sure you can, if your willing to pay the price. but if you are setting up a new tank, i wouldn't be in a hurry. the Catalina water is fine but rushing things in this hobby is just asking for trouble

well technically the tank will be "new" since theres all new water...but ive had the tank setup as fish only for the last 2.5 years.....i just decided to get corals now, so i drained the tank due to the high phosphate levels, and will set it up again with all new equipment.

the Catalina is fine. just keep a close eye on Ph, Alkand Temp if you are keeping the fish in there while you change the water.
