Need advice for ORP controller and ozone generator
Hi everyone,
I am looking to buy an ozone generator and an ORP controller. I am looking at 2 options right now: 1.An Aquazone ozonier Plus from Red Sea.It is the one with the controller integrated. 2. A milwaukee ORP controller with an Enaly OZX-300U(I may go with that one because it is cheaper, if the quality is good enough...) It would be very kind if I could have some review about these 2 options! If I go with the option #2 I may buy the ORP/PH controller. How is the Milwaukee controller? Is it good and reliable? Thank you all for your help!! Steve |

I am using the setup you describe above for No. 2. I have only had it for 2 or 3 weeks but I like it so far. Brought the orp in my 55 gal from 190 to over 300 in a few days. The controller accuracy I have no idea on though. I wonder if the probe will cause it to drift over time, or how often to replace the probe.

I have the Red Sea Aquazone (something like that) If I were to do it again I would buy separate units.

The main reason is that if the ozone unit takes a dump then your out both because the built in controller wont control another unit.
I've had my Red Sea unit for about 8 months now, maybe a little longer. I moved it about a month ago up on a shelf in my tanks room, for some reason I can't get the ORP back up to 400. I've done just about everything I can think of but it just wont get there. It worked just fine before I moved it. |
