Why is it floating?
Last weekend I setup a 29g quarentine tank. This weekend I put PVC piping in there. When I stuck the PVC pipes inside the tank they floated to the top. Usually when I goto a LFS they have PVC piping in the tanks and it stays at the bottom of the tank. Why are the PVC pipes floating?
Thanks, ASaleem91

its not PVC? I have never seen schedule 40 PVC float either, are you sure of the salinity? (probably have to be solid salt to float pvc however

Im pretty sure that its PVC. When I went to Lowes I asked the worker specifically for PVC piping and this is what he gave me. Also on the pipe it says Charolette Pipe PVC 3".

Figured out why it is floating. The PVC pipe that I got isnt regular schedule 40 PVC piping. So now since I found out the answer I guess this thread is basically closed.
Thanks for all your help guys!!! ASaleem91 *THREAD CLOSED*
