suggestions for lighting
I have a 90gal 34x24x24 semi cube.
Now I want to change my lighting in my canopy, right now I currently have 1 Ham. 250w 20k bulb in the middle and 2 18w PC's on each side. But what I dont like is that there is alot of dark spots. I also want to start keeping clams. Can anyone give me some good suggestions? I was thinking on this one's http://www.aquariumlight.com/product_info.php?dbid=607 or http://www.aquariumlight.com/product_info.php?dbid=315 or what do you guys think? Thanks

i would keep the 250, go with a 10k bulb and get some t5 to supplement.

Yes, drop down to a 10k or a iwasaki 20k,
My 150w iwasaki lights up my 36 x 18x 14 pretty nicely, has glimmer on the floor couple feet outside of the tank. I'd say when the 250w aqua2 comes out, jump on it, with pair of t5ho , one on front and back, would light her up. the 20k iwasaki 150w is a much lighter blue than is than the hamilton 14k and more blue than the xm10k. To me, it looks like same color as the t5 10k with 03 actinic pair. |

Take a look at the lumenarc 3 reflectors before you get a new lighting setup. They're a 24" square and have a uniform distribution excellent.
