Live Rock Question With Sponges
I had purchased some LR that had sponges and other branch like items growing from it.
My question is, will the sponges and other plants that are on the rock spread to the base rock that I bought. |

Try to keep sponges submerged as best as possible.
Exposure to air can result in dieoff, and can affect water params.

Given time bacteria, algae, sponges and little critters (worms etc.) will colonize your base rock and you won't be able to tell the difference between it and your live rock
