pH Test Kit & Other Kits

I know that pH is one of the most tricky water parameters to measure. But, is there a test kit out there that would be my best bet for testing pH? I've heard good things about Salifert. Should I go with that brand?

I have a Red Sea Ammonia Kit and Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Nitrite and Nitrate Kits. I use a hand held refractometer for the salinity. Anything else I should be testing for? Right now, I just have snails. Next week, I plan on adding a fish or two. Down the road, I will be stocking soft corals only.

4-5 kits of salifert for pH cost same as a digital meter. I bought mine on ebay for $60 included shipping and its accuracy up to 0.00 for pH and 0.0 for temperature. This meter sale for $90 by some well known national laboratory supply. Then calibration kit includes 7.00 and 10.00 of 500 ml bottles for only $13 and it have high accuracy upto 0.00
good luck to your search

as far as test kits Salifert is most likey the best. A monitor as vinh suggested is the way to go.

Anyone else agree that I should go with the monitor?

Also, what else should I be testing for?
