Which Skimmer?
I originally bought a ccs-125 for my 65 gallon reef with a 20 gallon sump. I am not happy with this skimmer at all. It barely produces and is very inconsistant. I am thinking about getting a euro reef skimmer from :
http://commerce2.i2net.com/able5stor...directory.aspx I was going to get one of the BLEM ones, but did not know which was best especially since they don't provide much info. This is for a mix reefed with moderate stocking. What do you think? Also are any of the euroreefs hang on sump? This one in particular looks like a good deal: http://commerce2.i2net.com/able5stor...roduct_ID=559& Thanks |

From what I have read euro-reefs are great skimmers. However most skimmers are overrated on the gallons they can clean however I thing ER is probably right on as far as the skimmers capabilities. Most reefers go with the biggest skimmer they can fit and afford as the bigger the better. With that said there is a thread out there on the Octopus skimmers that a are pretty good as well. Here is the link and they are fairly cheap and well built from what I have read http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh...hreadid=749634
