How long for a tomato clown to host?
I just purchased a long tentacle anemone and was wondering how long on average it will take for my tomato clown to host with it?

Amphiprion frenatus will naturally host in an Entacmaea quadricolor (bulb-tip or bubble-tip anemone) which is what I have for my Tomato.
I've heard they'll host in other anemones, but it's impossible to say how long it will take as they are not their natural host. Some say tank-bred clowns will never host in any anemone. I don't know this for sure. My Tomato is wild-caught. fwiw, my tomato dove into my RBTA in approx 2 minutes of being in the tank. He swam around the anemone, examining it very well before diving in.

My pair of Tomatoes were purchased way before I had any anemone in the tank. When I finally placed a crispa in the tank it took them two months before they started hosting with it.
