Unhappy Shake, Rattle, and Roll.

How do you earthquake proof your tank. I live in So. Cal where we have earthquakes here daily. Most are so small you can't feel them, but some are doozies. I have a 75 tall and am wondering how to secure it to the wall without straps crossing the tank in site.

Visit an earthquake supply center - they have all kinds of straps and locks and such.

I use 4 velcro straps - you bolt one strap into a wall stud and the other is attached with strong glue to the top of a part of the stand - the velco sticks together to hold everything. You can hide these straps.

I doubt a DSB would be enough for a 7.0 and I fully expect to lose everything in the next major SF earthquake - my tank will not survive a 7.0
