cheato problems

I have installed a hob refugium on my 38 gal fowlr. It has been there for about two months. everything seemed ok untill I check on my cheato and found a green mold looking algae all over my cheato. Can anyone tell me what it is and what I should do about it. I test my water regularly and everything is fine there. My nitrates are even under 10. I test with salifert. thanks

I would just clean the chaeto off, what you have sounds like algae that is attaching itself to the chaeto. I have this myself and everytime I do a water change I jut shake the cheato gently in it and clean it off.
