Transporting LR

How long can LR be out off the water without having any problems of stuff dieing off? I'm picking up some LR tonight and it might be out off the water for about an hour. Or should I just bring a big bin in the car and try to have it submerged in some water as much as possible?

I would at least take some paper towels soaked in saltwater and keep them on it during the ride home. It should be fine if kept moist like this.

if there are any spnoges on the rock do not expose to air. could result in the sponge dieing and could cause problems

Thanks guys. I'll keep eye out for sponges and will bring a Rubber bin to transport it all and probably a 5 gallon container with water just to be safe.
