any one have any experiences using a steel bit to drill holes in glass?
hey guys, i see steel bits are cheaper right? will they work for drillind glass or is diamond a must? im getting ready to buy so could use your input.

I think there are a few UNIVERSAL drill bits out there that are supposed to be capable of doing about any material. Just a regular steel drill bit though I feel wont cut it. Not a pro here though so somebody else chime in

Glass is harder than steel.
Diamonds are harder than glass. ie, only the diamond bits will cut through the glass.
