I have a few diff kinds. Some say 2 hours the others say remove any uneaten seaweed after a few hours. If your fish are still picking at it id say leave it, if not take it out.

the clip itself.?.. I leave it in there most of the time, this way the fish are used to seeing it and aren't afraid when i stick it in there. If you feed them from it enough im sure it wont matter though.

If you have tangs I would leave it in all the time and not remove the seaweed. They are oppurtunistic feeders in the wild so why not let them at least have that ability in out aquariums. Don't necessarily replace the seaweed whenever it's gone, maybe wait until the next day. My Purple tang and Imperator angel eat it CONSTANTLY. I am pretty sure they were'nt getting adequate nutrition before I had it.

I just slide a piece of seaweed under the edge of my mag float instead of using a clip.. The clip suction cups never stayed on the glass for me.

I use a standard clip with a Stainless steel snap swivel attached to a better suction cup (Black silicone) from a blown power head. Hasnt come off in a year. The clip dangles alittle in the flow makes the fish work for the food some like in nature. My PBT grabs a mouth full and whips the thing like hes attacking it with a vengance for his meal.

My Blue Hippo will graze on it for ever. Even when it appears to be gone, the hippo can manage to pull some more out with its teeth.

I leave live gracillaria in mine 24/7 for my tang. He trims it nicely so it doesnt get too big.

I used silicone adhesive to attach the suction cup of a veggie clip to my mag float glass cleaner. Easy to position and remove without getting your whole arm wet.

You can still use the magnet to clean the glass. If the veggie clip is in the way you can remove it from the suction cup when you clean the glass. I just leave mine on for the ride.

If my LFS doesn't have them, then where else. My LFS isn't that close to my house so I don't make to many visits their. Any where on-line just to get a look at what they look like, or maybe someone has a picture on here. Thanks

Try Marine Depot, Pet solutions, eithier or or just do a general search for reef foods and you can find one. Just a plastic clip with a suction cup attached to it.

I found a package of suction cup plastic clips that look just like the Julian Sprung ones at a Bealls Outlet store. It was 5 for 99 cents.
