ID please
Hey, I found this guy crawling around in one of my rocks. It only comes out at night, and it runs away whenever I get close to the tank. This is the best pic i could get of it. I was just wondering what it was and whether it was reefsafe.

It MIGHT be a mantis shrimp. But the picture is definately not sufficient for an id as it also kinda looks like an octopus or a range of other creatures.

looks like a crab. chances are its not safe. but unless you catch it, and get a good pic theres no way to know for sure.

If you have to circle the organism with a big red circle to find it in the picture, there is most likely not enough detail shown to make a positive identification. As is the case with this.
 Try to snap a better picture and give us all of the information about it that you can.
