Water movement in 55 gal drum

This may be a dumb question BUT:
I now use and 15 gal rubbermaid tote for my RO/DI water and am about to switch to a 55 gal drum.

Does there need to be any thing in the drum for water movement? Airstone or powerhead?

Does the water get stagnant or will it be ok? I use about 20 gals a week

I use a Mag-Drive 500 pointed straight up to aerate the water first, then later to mix the salt, and finally to pump the water out for water changes.

FWIW, I'm going to use a Mag 9.5 to mix my salt.

Right now I'm only using 1 drum, just for FW. But I do plan to connect 2 with a ball valve in between and ball valve's on each for getting the water out. Fill both, close the vlave, make one fresh and one salt. I will put a powerhead in the one for SW
