Help My Sump
Hi, can anyone tell me if i need anything else in my simple sump. It is for a simple reef tank, nothing special(yet). there is a section in the middle which is a refugium, containing deep sand bed, live rock and macroalgae. What sort of lighting will it need( I am on a bit of a budget....already blown out). Anything else?, i have a skimmer

I have a small sump with just an 18" white T8 for lighting and my macro algae grows well. A lot of people use PCs with good results too.
An addition to the sump would be a phosban reactor to hang on the side (with the pump in the last section of the sump). Also, an auto top-up is pretty useful (I have the Tunze which is excellent). |

This is the one.....
http://www.lightsofamerica.com/floods.htm Just make sure that one of these model numbers is on the box so that you're sure to get the 65 watt (incandescent 500watt equivalent), 6,500K bulb with it: 9265 or 9266 If you want a smaller one, then get model 9027, which has a 27watt (150 watt incandescent equivalent.)
