Need help identifying this !!!!

I have noticed this growing on a rock that untill a couple weeks ago had some large hairy pollyps on the rock. I moved the rock because I thought a it needed less intense light. Now there is only two very small pollyps and these wierd blobs. they are hard to the touch, does anyone know what thery are?

bubble algae? Can you wedge it off the rock and if you take it out of the tank does it pop if squeezed? Don't pop it in the tank...

It is definitly bubble algae. You need to pull it out of your tank and then cut it off in a bucket or something like it. You do not want to pop it in your tank because this will cause a massive spread. And wash your rock before putting it back into your tank.

The small bubbles look like agle, but the big center one almost looks like a coral.

I had a single bubble alga in my tank back in the fall. I scraped it off the rock very carefully while the rock was still in its original position and took it out of the tank. I never scrubbed the rock afterwards in fact I never even cleaned it or rubbed down the area where the alga had been after I removed it. I don't see why you would need to scrub down the rock before you put it back in the tank just make sure you get it all off the rock when you scrape.

Bubble algae (valonia).

Try reducing your phosphates and nitrates.. you could also try an emerald crab, but thats kind of risky.
