any Pics of your sump
i just bought a 20gal. (Long) glass tank that im looking to make into a sump/ refugium but before i get started i was wondering if anybody had pics of there 20 gal filter so i could get an idea??
demension on the tank are 30Lx12wx12h i need enough room for my euro reef protein skimmer (9x9) pre filter socks (5 inches for this) mag 9.5 return pump (maybe i will run it external) thanks |

what I would do with a 30" sump:
18" for the drains and skimmer 3 baffles, set 1.5" apart the remaining 7.5" use as your return area. Doing that should be pretty cheap. Probably $15 to get the glass cut at a glass shop and $4 for a tube of GE Silicone I (window and door) |

so your saying no refugium???
can you give a clearer picture of how this would work?? Example of what i had in mind ------------/----------//-------------//--------- filter bag skimmer refugium pump |

Checkout this link, Melev's Sump Info. He makes great acrylic sumps. He talks about the flow and making of sumps. He also has alot of pics of the different sump designs he has made. You are sure to find one to your liking to copy.
