Corals with trigger and puffer fish?
Does anyone know of corals that won't be eaten by a trigger or puffer?
Thanks, Brian |

NO, NO , and NO...some people keep triggers with their coral(bluethroat and niger, particularly the niger), but i wouldnt. I say undoubtedly no to a puffer. To a trigger, maybe, how big is the tank? The reason some people keep them with coral is they have huge tanks with huge amounts of coral and when they pick they have sooo much to pick it that it doesnt harm any one to the extent it would in a lightly stocked, smaller tank.

I have had two nigers and a blue jaw, except for the blue jaw eating my chromises, they were/are perfect reefmates. Never touched a coral, hard, soft or anything. The worst they have done is bothered a coral because it was in their swimming path when they raced back and forth like a hyper kid. Problem solved when I moved the coral two inches. Triggers are very personable, and the niger, blue jaw, and crosshatch are all safe for reefs IMO.
