Need an ID.

It blends in with rock and is in the center, at night long clear tenticles come out.also i fed it a peice of shrimp and it aggressively ate it.

Sounds like a polyp of an LPS coral and what you were seeing is feeder tentacles. But I'm not sure.

Just from the picture I'd guess a hairy mushroom of some type, but those don't have feeder tentacles.

I agree it looks like a fuzzy/hairy mushroom. Are you sure the tentacles weren't from a nearby spaghetti worm or something?

Hairy mushroom is what I thought until I saw the tentacles. I'll snap a pic tonight to see if they will show up in the pic. Also will a mushroom engulf a peice of shrimp and pull it's whole body in the rock to consume it?

No not normally. Usually the mouth protrudes upwards to take very tiny pieces but not the whole thing.

It's not aiptasia but does look a little like a majano anemone (also a pest). It could be a rock or flower anemone, however.

I'd say hairy mushroom or rock anemone. BTW, that half receded brain coral (favites type) to the left of it can send out some pretty long, transparent sweepers/tentacles, especially if feeling threatened (ie by that open brain right under it). Maybe those sweepers were what you saw? Just a thought.
