Filter Socks Change and Cleaning
How often do you change yours? I find myself changing it every 2 days. Sound about right to you?
I hose them off 1st, then put in washing machine HOT/COLD cycle with Clorox. Is there a better method? What do you do with the dirty ones before u clean them. I store them in a bucket til I get 5 or so then clean. Ben

I change mine every 3-4 days even though they get dirty in about 1 or 2.
I clean mine the exact same way as you do. I take them out back and hose them down to get most of the crap out of them and them throw them in the washing machine with a little bleach. If they still smell like bleach after the cycle, I'm run them again without bleach.

I change my 100 micron bag 1x a week. To clean, I turn it inside out and then put a garden hose inside with lots of pressure to clean it. Only takes a few minutes and then hang it to dry.

Forgot to ask, I assume u wait til u have a few dirty ones before washing. Do u leave them in a bucket soaking? or let them dry out? Currently i let them dry out in a bucket til I get 4 or 5 then i wash them.

I change mine out every 2-3 days. Double cold rinse cycle with a little bleach. Be careful with the hot/cold cycle, as the hot water can melt any plastic that may be on the sock.
I usually let mine dry in the laundry room.

I used to change it every 3-4 days when I had 2 mag return pumps, until I swithch from the 2 mags(12 & 18) to just a ehiem 1260. Now there is less flow and i change it every 2 weeks or so. Am i having too little flow now? I have a 150g tank.

oh, I let my dirty ones sit in the bucket dry and wash them all together with cold water and just rinse it with salt water when I change the water out.
