7.8 pH
a few days ago i put my live rock into my 24g aquapod, and it is now cycleing. i took a pH test and found it at 7.8...is this normal while cylcing? or should i try to bring that up? and if so, how do i do that?

pH is often low during cycling, but I'd try to keep it higher. Limewater (kalkwasser) is a good way to do that. This article has more:

Doesn't air oxygen mixed into the water will regulate the pH levels ?

Aeration to drive out carbon dioxide can help raise pH if the alkalinity is adequately high and the carbon dioxide level is not excessively high in the air around the tank. The first article details that process.

If your lights just came on when you took the ph readings then you may have not got an accurate reading. Ph drops at night IME and returns to normal during the day if I am not mistaking.

Yes, it does, but IMO, pH 7.8 is undesirably low for any time of day.
