Chiller owners

How many here run their chiller with the cover off due to heat? Does it run better or is it better with the cover on

I am no expert, but I think the cover helps the fan blow directional accross the fridge unit. I put mine outside because of heat issues.

That is what I was thinking, I had to add an extra fan blowing in because of the heat. I just wondered how it would be with no cover

I don't think the unit (evaporator I think) will properly cool with no cover.

Can you put it in a garage or outside? I put mine in a rubbermade container outside.

Mine is in the garage but just wanting to run it the best I can, it is hot here and even in the garage it has to work harder. My sump and equipment are all in the garage. I have been looking at the portable AC unit for the garage to cool it

I took mine off and it seems to stay on longer in the heat. It is a Aqualogic
