Low Ph problem
The Ph in my 150 has been low for about 4 days now. I buffer and it levels out for a couple days, then goes down again. It is not getting too low (6.5-7.0) but not good. Weird thing is everything looks amazing and healthy. My nitrates are a little high(20-30), but other than that all is normal. Is there somethin I an do to regulate the Ph? I have my protein skimmer running constantly and 2 sumps with culpera algae. Also have a rena filter with carbon in it. Any suggestions?

6.5 - 7.0 is crazy LOW! 6.5 is what some reacotrs run at.
I think you need to check your test kit with another brand, or re-calibrate your PH meter. maybe severla times lol. Are you using a test kit or PH meter? |

If all your using is buffer then your water parameters will be off.
Calcium, alk., magnesium are interrelated. Consider it a three legged chair, without one leg it won't stand up. Do a search for Randy's two part-it includes mag.- with a 150 gallon you will be saving a lot of money in the long run by making it yourself. It does work great. |
