Maxijets: impellers crumbled is the rest of the unit ok?
Question: I have a bunch of maxijet pumps that have been sitting around. They were probably soaked in vinegar and then left to dry out. I just picked them up and found almost all the impellers crumbling inside. Before investing in a few new impellers, do you think the rest of the maxijet is OK?
Thanks! |

As long as the inside is clean and not all scratched up, they should be fine. Make sure they are not cracked either. But if you are really concerened Maxijets are cheap buy a few new ones. The impellers cost half what a new unit does and i would spend a little extra on a new one for the peace of mind factor.

you could also look into modding them, but i dont' know if the extent of the damage stops the mod from working.
barclay's right though, they are uber cheap. should be easy to replace if you can't re-order new impellers.
