Water movement/circulation

I have a 90 gal with two 1200 maxi jet power heads with deflectors in my tank but not getting the movemenet i feel i will need with corals when i add to the tank. Any recommendation to get a good flow in my tank? Any thoguhts on Tunze Turbelle pumps? Seems like a lot of outpout (1600gph) is that to much for my 90 gal reef tank? OPen to options???

The tunze pumps do have high flow rates, but they put the flow out in a wide flow not the normal jet of a ph.
I think you could put a tunze in your tank. Or you could also run a closed loop.

A closed loop usally consists of an external pump that draws water from one part of your tank(Your tank can be drilled or it can take the water over the top of the glass)and then pumps it back into the pump through one or more outlets. The anvantage is that there are no ugly power heads in your display tank.

Tunze are great pumps if you want to fork over the cash for them.

Jump over to the DIY forum and look for the maxi-stream mod. You can reproduce Tunze flow with a maxi for about 30 dollars and 50 minutes.

Thanks. I have so little time these days as many us do that i would rather purchase vs build. I have been told you can take a Seio and pull off the box cover and get a simliar flow as a Tunze for about 40 bucks.
