SCWD micro bubbles

I connected a SCWD last night via closed loop. The pump is an Ocean Runner 3500. I'm getting a small blast of micro bubbles from each nozzle. Is this common with a SCWD?

I used black 3/4" FDA approved hose that I purchased at Home Depot to and from the SCWD. The intake is 1" clear hose with the braided reinforcement. A 1" drilled PVC pipe is in the tank. Could the intake pipe be causing this? It is capped on one end and has lots of holes drilled in it. I could remove the cap to see if it helps. I could probably cover the end with fiberglass screen instead of capping it. My next solution is to scrap the SCWD and buy an OM Squirt

Using the black hose has a cool feature: when the pressure builds the nozzle will actually move 1-2" causing a sweeping effect in the tank. As the pressure decreases, the nozzle moves back and the same thing happens on the other side.

ARE the intake holes near the surfrace?? I made one that did the same thing. I had to put the intake holes deeper in the water cause it was pulling in air from the surface.

I checked that and they were definitely below the surface. I have another intake pipe with larger holes and it seems to be better. My problem now is getting some clamps on the connections to stop some dripping.

sqwd dripping

I tried two different sqwd's, had to send both back because they both leaked at hose fittings. The reason was they both leaked at the mold seams.

I'm still having problems with leaks. I had to leave town today for business. That forced me to shut down the closed loop and SCWD and restart the powerheads

Thumbs down SQWD (leaks)

If your having problems with sqwd leaking check right above where your lines connect. That's where mine leaked, right where the two mold halves come together. (seam) After returning two, Marine Depot told me it was a common problem. The more you tighten the clamps the worse the leak gets. Anybody know of a better alternative?

I had a similar problem with my scwd. After about two weeks the salt creep plugged the leak. I guess you could take it apart and apply some weldon, epoxy or superglue to seal the seam. I haven't tried it myself though.
