Electric bill difference with bigger tank?
Im in the planning stages of building a house. Of course in my plans will be a tank built in to one of the main walls between the kitchen/dining area and the living room area. Its an open space design and want to use the tank to kind of act as a little bit of a wall and Ill have a closet area alongside for equipment sump fuge all those fun things.
So I was wondering the costs everyone has with electricity to the size of the tank. Im going atleast 120 gallon so any info would be helpful. Thanks in advance. |

depends how you set it up! more equipment, more power....more power, higher bill. my particular setup is about 60 a month for a 220 gallon

It ends up being more for bigger due to lighting and pumps.
There is this handy tool: http://reefcentral.com/calc/tank_elec_calc.php |
