last hope! best bang for my buck new lighting?!
i haev a 192 watt coral life fixture on my 38 gallon tank right now, and set things high near the surface so they reseve the most light, getting tired of haveing no color near the bottem, and want to upgrade. with halides?? would order them trough the fish store i work at, what is a good company be spiecific please so i know what to get. halides??

OR SHOULD I GET A RETRO KIT AND DO THAT MYSELF, AND BUILD A CUSTOM WOOD TOP?? WHAT RETRO KIT WOULD I WANT, CRAP THEN I WOULD NEED FANS TOO.

Perhaps T5s would be a good idea as well if you havent looked into them yet as well... A 6x39wattTeklight would just about double the light you are providing now... without the heat/space needed for halides.... if its an issue.

Retro is cheapest if you can do some DIY woodwork or if you have an existing canopy.
